Continually monitoring a system and taking corrective measures when something goes wrong. For e.g. if temperature greater than set value, set cooler on else set heater on.

(c) State three advantages of controlling the reaction using a computer.
(i)   more accurate than doing the job manually
(ii)   can collect data 24 hours a day automatically
(iii)   environment can be dangerous to human e.g. acidic conditions, toxic chemicals
